Classic Car Owners of all decades are welcomed to Webster City Market Nights Thursday, June 20th
Webster City, Iowa: The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce invites classic car owners to downtown Webster City this Thursday, June 20th for Classic Car Night from 5:30-7:30PM.
Classic car owners should enter at the corner of Prospect and Second Street between 4-5PM. Cars will be parked in the 700 block of Second Street and overflow into the North public parking lot in the same block. Upon arrival, car owners will be greeted and given a registration form. Each numbered form will be completed with the owner’s name, make, and model. The registration paper will be placed in the front windshield of the vehicle to be visible for judging.
New this year! Classic Car Night offers several awards for participating classic car owners including:
- Community Choice
- Classic Car Owner’s Choice
- Karl Chevrolet Choice
The awards are sponsored by Karl Webster City, with the trophies designed and fabricated by Mertz Engineering. The “Community Choice” award will allow all Webster City Market Nights attendees to “cast their vote” for their favorite automobile. Additional awards include a top pick by participating classic car owners and Karl Chevrolet team members.
A very special vehicle will be designated as “One-in-a-Melon” chosen by Envision Stanhope. This award is a nod to Stanhope’s annual summer celebration, Watermelon Day, July 20th, 2024.
“Community Choice” and “Classic Car Owner Choice” votes will be collected at the American Legion Auxiliary Baked Goods table in front of the American Legion Post, 726 Second Street. Each award will be tallied using a color-coded voting system.
Voting time for awards will be from 5:30-6:30PM. The awards will be announced by MOJO Productions located in the middle of the 700 block at 7:20PM. MOJO Productions that will be playing classic hits in the 700 block.
The Shades will be joining us in the Availa Bank Plaza. The local, iconic band of Webster City natives is a Webster City Market Nights fan favorite. The Shades played in local ballrooms and high school dances in the 60’s and 70’s and a popular music choice in the Midwest.
Classic Car Night is sponsored by Karl Webster City and held the third Thursday of the month on June 20th, July 18th, and August 15th during Webster City Market Nights, presented by American Sanitation. Webster City Market Nights is a family friendly street event offering farmers’ market vendors, live music, food trucks, and outdoor dining. The event is held weekly in the summer months on Second Street in Downtown Webster City. Each event offers a different theme and family-friendly activities.
