September 8 the fun starts at 4 pm!  Come downtown to cheer on your favorite team - Iowa or Iowa State.  Tailgating, dancing in the streets, tug of wars, music, chili cookoff and oh so much more family fun! 

They guys are coming back!  Keith Murphy and weatherman Ed Wilson will be joined by the two sports guys -- for a fun filled night of frolicing and enjoyment!  

Chili Contest

Holy Moly that's a hot cup of chili!

Tailgate at RVTV

Oh boy tailgating!  

What a great way to bring your company down and represent either Iowa or Iowa State (or both) and enjoy RVTV.  Tailgaters will be parked in the 500 block of 2nd street and the spots are going fast.

Webster City True Value will be hosting root beer pong.
First State Bank will have a Photo Booth a Minute to Win It competition.
Farm Credit and Neighbors will have a football toss. 
Other tailgaters include: Jim Fortune, Stoney Creek, Ameriprise Financial and Juan Trujillo.  Rod Clum will be dj'ing in the tailgating section too.

Human Foosball

We've never played human foosball so we went to www.badgeofawesome.com and got the instructions!  This is going to be a ball of fun!  Teams of 6, only $5 if you register in advance - and prizes for winners!   Our thanks to the Missionary Allliance Church for building the game.

Crimestoppers is sponsoring the ever popular Nickel Scramble.  Find them by the clock in the First American Bank Plaza at 5, 6 and 7 pm to participate.  You simply dig through sand or wood shavings to find as many nickels as you can.  Kids only please!

Pick up your entries at either: WCF Financial, People's Credit, First State Bank, First American Bank, Kendall Young Library or the Chamber Office.  Return it by early a.m. September 3.   They will be displayed in one of the windows downtown and you can come back here and vote for your favorite!  Prizes are sponsored by MaidRite.

WCF Financial Bank, platinum sponsor, is doing “Putt for Pride”. You get to choose your favorite team (ISU or Iowa) and putt three times. For each putt you make, you can add a tally mark under your favorite team. This will be the WCF Financial Bank’s prediction for the outcome of the game on Saturday. If you make all three putts you also get to put your name into a drawing for your favorite team and one winner for each team will be chosen with their prize being an ISU or Iowa football jersey (with the winner's name on the back). No one will leave empty handed as they have small gifts for just participating.

Schedule for the Day

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce announced today the schedule for RVTV on September 8.  “It’s been a planning committee and community involvement that is making this event come into focus.  You’re not going to believe the amount of fun available to everyone!” said Deb Brown, Chamber Director. 
11 am to 12 pm the RVTV guys will roll into town.  The Chamber has offered an invitation to any local resident who has decorated their car in Iowa or Iowa State colors to join in the caravan to bring the boys into town.  The Fire Department and Police Department will escort the RV and WHO- TV participants, followed by the caravan.  Meet at MaidRite parking lot at 11 am.
12 – 1 pm The WHO TV crew will be out and about interviewing local people.  Don’t be surprised if they show up at your door!
2 to 4 pm The WHO TV radio sports show will be hosted in the Chamber’s conference room.  Food vendors, chili contestants, Kid Zone End Zone participants, Tailgaters and Bag Tournament folks will be setting up.  The streets are closed at 2 pm.
4 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV in the tailgating section.  Iowa State Highway Patrol giving an award and shots of fans -- Wear your colors and come down to the 700 block of 2nd street – cheer on your team on TV.  Enjoy the tailgaters too.
5 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV featuring Motorized bar stool races with participants from WHO-TV in the 600 block of 2nd street.
5:30 pm Tug of War contests begin in First American Bank Plaza. 
6 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV in the Chili Cookoff section.  Judging for Chili is at 6 pm.  After the judging, the chili will be available to taste to everyone. 
6 pm Nickel Scramble – two heats.

9 pm HERO lights up the Webster Theater marquee! 
10 pm Live TV Broadcast on WHO-TV – the Mayor, Doug Getter, has challenged every resident of Webter City to come and participate in the ALS ice bucket challenge!  Be under the marquee at 9:45 pm and bring your own bucket!
