How to Wow - Basic Car Maintenance
by staff on April 17th, 2014

Wonder what you should have as emergency gear in your car or what the warning lights on your dashboard mean? The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Gerber Auto Care to offer a class on May 6 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm to focus on basic car maintenance. The class is geared towards new drivers and their parents or those that want to learn more about keeping their vehicles running at peak performance.

Gerber Auto Care’s Doug Youngdale will cover topics such as basic emergency equipment every vehicle should have, understanding your car alerts, tips on how to maintain proper tire inflation, and how to jump start your car.

Dinner and networking begins at 5:30 pm at the Seneca Street Saloon. Following dinner, attendees will walk over to Gerber Auto Car for the program. The class will run from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

Cost is $15 per person and includes dinner. To reserve your spot, contact the Webster City Chamber office at 832-2564 by end of day May 5.

The Education seminars presented in the How to Wow series in 2014 are geared towards a healthier Hamilton County.  We have found out that health comes in many forms!  Safety, peace of mind and car knowledge are topics that Doug will cover and we think these are directly related to our health.  How to have less stress is a topic we get asked to talk about - and we thank Gerber Auto Care for giving us an opportunity to learn how to be less stressful while in our cars!
